Community groups in the Downtown Eastside are putting forward nine recommendations to multiple layers of government, hoping to help those who are unhoused in Vancouver this winter. Jean Swanson, former Vancouver City Councilor and member of the Carnegie Housing Project, along with Devin O’Leary, brought various advocates together for a press conference at Carnegie Community Centre with the aim of putting forward their recommendations to demand swift action to support Vancouver’s unhoused community through the winter.
