The BC provincial government has released the BC Poverty Reduction Strategy: What We Heard report, which will help inform the official updated Poverty Reduction Strategy (expected release Spring 2024).

Check out section #5, p. 26 to see what BC is saying will help reduce poverty, including income and employment supports, increasing income assistance rates, and reducing/eliminating income exemption requirements.
